Bio:
Tyrone A. Guiden is an experienced federal professional, educator, mentor, and cybersecurity practitioner with more than 11 years of federal government experience. He currently serves as an Information Security Specialist with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where he has worked for six years. His federal career also includes service with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).
Tyrone brings firsthand experience using USAJOBS, navigating federal job announcements, reviewing federal resumes, and helping others better understand the federal application process. He has planned and facilitated workshops focused on helping individuals secure their first jobs in cybersecurity.
His passion for teaching and developing others extends beyond the workplace. Tyrone serves as Deputy Executive Director of All Cyber in Woodbridge, Virginia, is a mentor with Minorities in Cybersecurity, and serves his church as a Couples Ministry facilitator and Sunday School teacher. He is also a former U.S. Air Force Computer Systems Operator.
Tyrone holds a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Oswego State University, a Bachelor's degree from the City College of New York, and dual Associate degrees in Cyber Security and Information Technology Systems. He combines real-world federal experience with a strong instructional background to help participants approach USAJOBS with greater knowledge, preparation, and confidence.
