Mary N. CHaney

After more than 30 years protecting people, businesses, and data—from the FBI to Fortune 100 boardrooms—Mary N. Chaney, Esq., CISSP saw a persistent problem: too few professionals had both the technical skills and the real-world readiness to step confidently into cybersecurity careers.

She founded the Mary N. Chaney Cybersecurity Training Center (MNC-CTC) to close that gap.

At MNC-CTC, Mary’s mission is simple but powerful: to train, develop, and elevate the next generation of cybersecurity leaders. Through the flagship Cybersecurity Residency Program, students move beyond theory—building hands-on skills, leadership confidence, and career-ready experience aligned with the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.

Before founding MNC-CTC, Mary spent a decade as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Cincinnati (2012–2022), where she developed and taught courses in Special Topics in Cybersecurity, Information Security & Assurance, Network Security, Enterprise Network Administration, and Network Routing and Switching. That teaching experience reinforced her belief that cybersecurity education must integrate both academic rigor and applied practice.

Drawing from her unique journey—FBI Special Agentcorporate cybersecurity executive, and educator—Mary designed MNC-CTC as a bridge between learning and doing. The Center blends classroom knowledge, mentorship, and real-world application so graduates are prepared to lead from day one.

“Cybersecurity isn’t just about tools and technology—it’s about protecting people, organizations, and communities.”
— Mary N. Chaney, Esq., CISSP, Founder & CEO

MNC-CTC stands as part of Mary’s lifelong commitment to empowering diverse, ethical, and skilled cybersecurity professionals ready to make a difference.
